Gangubai Kathiawadi hailed with lots of buzzes since the day its teaser got released on YouTube. The story, the plot that mirrors the life of Gangubai however has taken a challenging turn, as Baburao Shah the adopted son of Gangubai filed a defamation charge against the film’s team. According to him, the film shall give an erroneous idea of the family, and it is factually untrue.
According to several other media reports, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Hussain Zaidi (writer of Mafia Queens Of Mumbai, on which the film Gangubai Kathiawadi is based) were called to be present at the court on 21st March 2021. Prior to this, Gangubai’s son Baburao Shah had also filed charges against the film and asked the court of law to refrain its trailers and teasers to get released, however, got rejected.
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ portrays the life of Gangubai, where, Alia Bhatt shall be playing the role of Gangubai herself, and Ajay Devgn to play a pioneering role too. As per media reports, the film is planned to hit the theatre on 30th July.
