It was only a few hours ago when it was reported that Goldy Brar, who admitted to Sidhu Moose wala’s killing back then, was shot dead in the US.
However, a fresh update has come in that claims that these reports are false.
The Fresno Police Department in California denied about the reports that one of the two persons attacked in a shooting incident was Goldy Brar.
“If you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is ‘Goldy Brar’, we can confirm that this is absolutely not true,” said Lieutenant William J. Dooley in an emailed statement in response to a query.
“We have received inquiries from around the world this morning as a result of misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumour, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn’t true. The victim is definitely not Goldy,” said Lieutenant William Dooley.
But even then, the police did not identify the two attackers at whom the shots were fired.
As told earlier, the duo was attacked at Fairmont and Holt Avenue in the northwestern part of Fresno after a fight on Tuesday evening, the police said earlier.
The younger individual, believed to be in his 30s, sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body and was transported to the hospital in critical condition, ultimately succumbing to his injuries. The second man suffered injuries to the lower part of his body but was discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.
News of the Fresno shooting incident spread rapidly in India, with claims that gangster Goldy Brar had been fatally shot by the Dalla-Lakbhir Gang, purportedly based on information from US media sources. However, many of the reported details were either unclear or inaccurate.
Some reports suggested that the shooting occurred outside the Fairmont Hotel in California, while others went as far as alleging that rival gang leaders had taken credit for the attack.
