Unlike other years, the 94th Academy Awards that happened yesterday in Los Angeles had an air of controversy around it. It all started when Chris Rock apparently went out of the line to make a joke about Will Smith’s wife’s medical attention. This led to Smith losing his cool and soon after that, he went up straight to the stage and slapped Chris Rock hard on his face.
This became a global trend immediately and fan clubs were left divided about the incident. A day after everything was said and done, Will Smith has now issued a public apology to Chris for the incident. Read his full statement below –
