Kiara Advani and Karan Johar share a great equation of admiration and mutual respect. The two of them have worked together on many occasions and make no mistake, their collaborations have always given results in the box office. From sharing an equation of friendship and respect to taking a stand for each other when required, they do it all for each other.
When just when it mattered the most, Kiara has taken a stand in public for her ‘mentor’ who’s been a guiding force for her in the past. To defend Karan Johar in the nepotism row, Kiara was quoted by Hindustan Times saying,
“At that point, there was this thing, and Manish (Malhotra) is one of those people who never looked at it like that. He never looked at it like, ‘I’ll give somebody something because they’re successful’. Even Karan. I know he gets so much hate for nepotism and all of that, but he took me when I was a nobody, and nobody told him to.”
Shedding more light on the topic, Kiara further revealed that
“At the end of the day, this is a business. Certain people who’ve reached great heights in their fields, they don’t have to live up to this social norm.”
