Almost all of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film are shot during the night time. His latest Gangubai Kathiawadi is no exception. The crime drama is being shot all through the night at Film City Mumbai for the last one month, creating serious sleep disorder issues in the director and his leading leading lady Alia Bhatt who finds herself shooting till 5 am and then heading home with the milk vans. By the time her family and loved one(Ranbir Kapoor) are getting ready to wake up and face the day, Alia is fast asleep.
“It hasn’t been an easy shooting schedule for Alia. But the challenge of working with Sanjay Bhansali makes all obstacles seem like child’s play,” says a source close to Alia.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas, Sawariya, Guzaarish,Black and Ram Leela were all shot almost entirely in the night time. The director says he finds the night time the most creative although his body dooesn’t agree with him.
