Noted film and television actress, Ashalata Wabgaonkar, died of Covid-19 this morning, September 22.
As per reports in media, she was admitted to a private hospital in Satara, Maharashtra. Ashalata was 79 and is survived by a son.
Ashalata was in Satara to shoot for a Marathi TV serial, Aai Kalubai. Reportedly, she, along with about 20 members of the TV serial crew tested positive for Covid-19. As per reports, Ashalata Wabgaonkar’s last rites will be performed in Satara.
She made her hindi debut with Basu Chatterjee’s Apne Paraye, and then there was no looking back. Ahsalata was also seen in films like Ankush, Ahista Ahista, Shaukeen, Woh Saat Din, Namak Halaal and several others.
