The Me Too movement in Bollywood has certainly gained prominence but even before Bollywood, it all started with Hollywood. And unlike Bollywood where many names cropped up, American film producer Harvey Weinstein’s name was the biggest name to pop up in the Hollywood ‘Me Too’ context.
But finally seems like justice has been served as the New York court room today sentenced Harvey to 23 years in prison after being found guilty of first-degree criminial sexual act and third degree rape. While for the former offence, he has been sentenced for 20 years, the latter puts him behind bars for 3 years. Both the sentences are to follow each other successively.
