Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has responded to his wife Aaliya’s divorce notice by sending her a legal notice. The notice accuses her of “engaging in fraud, willful and planned defamation” and “slander of character.”
According to a leading portal, the actor had already replied to Aaliya’s divorce notice within 15 days of receiving it. Aaliya had recently mentioned in an interview that she could not pay her children’s school fees as Nawazuddin has stopped paying her the monthly allowance. However, the actor’s lawyer has denied these claims.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer Adnan Shaikh told the website, “My client is still paying EMI. Other children-related expenses too. Divorce notice was replied to, but again, she has stated the contrary to defame through this well-thought slander campaign.”
Additionally, the actor has requested that his wife refrain from making defamatory remarks about him and provide a written clarification.
