Nayanthara hits back at Dhanush; telling he ‘festers vengeance,’ & is ‘vile’

Actor Nayanthara recently took to Instagram to address allegations made by actor, producer, and director Dhanush, who has reportedly sent her a legal notice demanding Rs 10 crore in compensation. The issue revolves around the alleged unauthorized use of certain clips in her upcoming Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. Dhanush claims that some footage was used without permission, particularly from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.

In response, Nayanthara shared a detailed, three-page statement on her social media platform, refuting Dhanush’s claims and expressing her disappointment over his refusal to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the use of songs from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The actor defended her stance, clarifying that the visuals used in the documentary were authorized and not in breach of any agreements.

Addressing Dhanush directly, she wrote, “A well-established actor like you, supported by your father and brother, a well-known director, should understand this. For someone like me, who is self-made and without industry connections, cinema has always been a struggle for survival. My journey to this point is the result of hard work, a work ethic known to those familiar with me, and the unwavering support of audiences and colleagues.”

Nayanthara emphasized the challenges involved in producing her documentary and highlighted the contributions of many collaborators who supported the project. She expressed her dismay at Dhanush’s alleged opposition to the documentary, which she said not only impacts her and her partner but also the entire team who contributed their time and effort.

In her statement, Nayanthara noted that the documentary is a personal project featuring moments from her life, career, and marriage, including clips from various industry well-wishers. However, she expressed regret that it does not include any content from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which holds a special place in her journey.

Concluding her post, she hoped that Dhanush would find peace with himself and move beyond any past grievances, allowing the documentary to release without further conflict.
