Ever since Naga chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their separation on 2 October certain marketing teams have been going berserk with cover-up jobs , so badly done they are an embarrassment for both Chaitanya , Samantha and also their respective families.
One terrible distasteful story doing the rounds suggests that the Akkineni family offered Samantha an alimony of 20 crores which she, so selflessly, said no to.
I spoke to someone close to the Akkineni family and that person said, “There is no alimony involved. There never was. Samantha didn’t demand any. The Akkinenis didn’t offer any. These are stories being planted to make one party look nobler than the other. They are doing damage than good to whoever they are pertaining to.”
Instead of manufacturing post-separation stories why not watch Samantha and Chaitanya together in the Telugu film Majili?
During the series of the film Chaitntya has said to me, “When we met during Ye Maaye Chesave we played young lovers discovering love. Then we did a couple of other films together including the family film(where Naga and his father Nagarjuna and grandfather Nageshwara Rao shared screen space) Maanam where our relationship both on screen and in our personal life had evolved. In Majili we play a married couple going through the process of adjusting with one another.”
Naga Chaitanya admits it wasn’t easy being difficult with his wife on screen. “But then we had decided that whenever we work together, we would leave our personal relationship at home .Also, we were sure of one thing. Whatever we do together on screen has to take our combination ahead of our previous films together.”
Looks like the journey had ended for the couple.
