It is not a great accomplishment to become a year older: Tiger Shroff on his Birthday

Jackie Shroff’s son quietly turns 30 on 2 March. One says ‘quietly’ because this introverted, young, self-disciplined monk of a youngster says he doesn’t believe in celebrating his birthday.

Tiger’s mom Ayesha Shroff says her austere son would be gifted his favourite food on his birthday on Sunday. “Tiger is working on his birthday. And he doesn’t believe in celebrating birthdays. So I am going to give him a jar of his favourite peanut butter. He has earned himself that treat.”

Says Tiger, “I don’t have birthday plans. I don’t celebrate it. I just don’t like celebrating my birthday. According to me, it’s not a great accomplishment to become a year older. On the contrary, I will be reminded that I’ve lost one year of my precious life. What’s there to celebrate?”

Remind him that most people love their birthdays and Tiger quips, “In that case, I guess I am not normal. I’ll be doing all my normal stuff on my birthday, like physical training, dancing, stunts practice, and going to the gym.”

Tell him that one has not seen such self-discipline in any other star-kid and Tiger says, “Hard work is all I have going for me. It has got me Baaghi and Heropanti and I am grateful to Sajid Nadiadwala Sir for giving me the break. I want people to wish me well, and not only on my birthday.”
