Pooja Hegde is said to be one of the highest-paid actresses in Telugu cinema. No wonder , then, she has being paid a whopping Rs 1.25 crore rupees for an item song in F3, the comedy-drama directed by Anil Ravipudi starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej which is sequel to the 2019 hit F2.
A source from Hyderabad informs me that it was the producer Dil Raju who persuaded Pooja to take the plunge, and she readily obliged
When asked about her hegemon(e)y in Telugu cinema Pooja had said, “I don’t want to talk about the money. But yes, I think it is great to be accepted in a language that I didn’t know. I now feel I’ve become a part of Telugu cinema now. I am really grateful for that.”
She now speaks Fluent Telugu . “As soon as I started doing Telugu films I began learning the language in the hope that I could eventually dub my own lines .I felt this was needed to honour my craft . To be able to connect with the Telugu audience it was really imperative to speak the language.Dubbing for my own lines in Telugu has helped me get closer to my character and to the audience. It’s great to be treated as one of their own in Andhra Pradesh.”
