Radhika Apte is expecting her first child, as revealed during her appearance at the Sister Midnight screening at the BFI London Film Festival on October 16. The actor surprised fans by debuting her baby bump at the event. While she shared photos from the red carpet on social media, posing both solo and with the cast and crew, Apte made no direct mention of her pregnancy. Her post was simply captioned, “SISTER MIDNIGHT UK Premier #lff2024.”
For the uninitiated, Apte has been married to British violinist and composer Benedict Taylor since 2012. The couple, who splits their time between London and Mumbai, tends to keep their personal life private and has rarely made appearances or interviews together. They met in 2011 when Apte was in London to study contemporary dance, and began living together shortly after. They had a small wedding in 2012, followed by an official ceremony in 2013.
On the work front, Apte made a cameo appearance in Merry Christmas, directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi. She is also set to appear in the revenge thriller series Akka, alongside Keerthy Suresh. The series, directed by Dharmaraj Shetty in his debut, is produced by YRF Entertainment.
