Easily one of the biggest franchise films in the Hindi entertainment industry over the years, it can now be sealed as power reports that Dhoom 4 is happening.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Dhoom 4 is sealed and the pre-production of the film has begun.

The biggest draw of any Dhoom film is always the ‘bad guy’ per se, and after the likes of John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan hit it out of the park in Dhoom 1, 2 and 3 respectively, you would need yet another superstar face to lead the reboot of the action franchise. And hence the same report suggested that none other than Ranbir Kapoor has been sealed to play the antagonist in Dhoom 4. It was mentioned that Kapoor was in talks for Dhoom 4 for the longest time now and while he always keen on doing it, the script and ideation has appealed to him and he is locked to do the film.

The report stated further that Yash Raj Films (YRF) honcho, Aditya Chopra and director of Dhoom 3, Vijay Krishna Acharya are developing the world and the film should go on floors by end of 2025/early 2026 once Kapoor is done working on Ramayana Part 1 & 2, and Love & War. Furthermore, Dhoom 4 will be Kapoor’s 25th film is other films go as per plans thus making it even more special.

Another important development of the film is that it will not see the return of Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra as the cop buddy duo and possibly, two of the younger lot of actors will be cast.

Dhoom is one of the most loved and successful franchises in Bollywood where each of the films ranging from 1, 2 and 3 have earned big moolah at the box office as well.
