We are yet to even witness the clash of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again – and what will transpire; and we already have another big clash on the horizon. Just a month later and as we will be closing in on ending the year, 6th December 2024 will witness a mega clash in the form of the highly-anticipated and rather-delayed Pushpa 2: The Rule going up against Vicky Kaushal’s rousing period drama, Chhava.
The teaser of Chhava was released a month ago and managed to create an instant impact and while it doesn’t have the franchise love and anticipation that Pushpa 2 possesses, it does look like a worthy opponent.
However, the fans of actor Rashmika Mandanna are left miffed and even angry. Mandanna is the common factor in both these mega films as she plays the female lead and while that is a great factor to enjoy for the actor, fans aren’t happy about it. Many fans have taken to social media to claim how logistics might dictate them watching only one film at that point of time and to be choosing their favorite’s film over the other that also stars her is an unfortunate dilemma that they don’t want to be in.
The edge is clearly towards Pushpa 2- The Rule as she reprises her role and her fans have already seen her in that avatar – and add to that, the new Saami song has also created a rage already. But it isn’t too far away before her look and appearance from Chhava will be revealed. And for her fans, who love her no matter the film, it is going to be a tough choice.
This has become an even bigger conversation for them, as Mandanna, who usually has multiple releases every year hasn’t had a release in 2024 and now that it is happening, two of her biggest films are locking horns. For the cinema-lovers, they will feel spoilt for choices but Rashmika Mandanna fans aren’t too happy and we wonder if that is going to play any role in the decision-making for these films ahead.
