No more costume dramas for S S Rajamouli, at least for now. After six years and three lavish period films(Baahubali Part 1 and 2, RRR) Rajamouli is now stepping into slick contemporary times with Mahesh Babu.
A source reveals that Rajamouli was keen to do a costume drama with Mahesh Babu as Mahesh had never attempted that genre before. But the Telugu superstar demurred, saying his fans wouldn’t like to see him in a costume drama.
And besides, Mahesh Babu reasoned, Rajamouli’s audience too wants a change.
It is revealed that Rajamouli’s next will be shot in several European country and would feature Mahesh Babu as a man on a mission.
The untitled film commences shooting early in 2023.
