In reality, the man in the grey t-shirt resembling Salman Khan is indeed the Bollywood superstar, but the woman in the pink ethnic dress is not Aishwarya Rai.
Upon closer inspection, it turns out that the woman in the picture is Sana Pancholi, sister of actor Sooraj Pancholi. Salman Khan was captured in a friendly greeting with Sana during the party, and the image has been misconstrued, leading to the false claim that Salman was hugging Aishwarya Rai.
