RIP: Padma Shri-winning filmmaker Tarun Majumdar passes away at 92

A really sad and heartbreaking news coming in ladies and gentlemen.

As per the latest media reports in Times Of India, Padma Shri-winning filmmaker Tarun Majumdar is no more. He unfortunately breathed his last at a Kolkata Hospital and was 92 when he breathed his last. Reports reveal that the iconic director of Indian cinema was dealing with some age-old issues and was undergoing treatment for the same at SSKM hospital in the city. It is said that his condition was improving. However, after it deteriorated again, doctors put him on ventilation again. He won four National Film Awards for cult classics Kancher Swargo, Nimantran, Ganadevata and Aranya Aamar. He received Padma Shri in 1990 for his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.
