‘Salaar’ Actor Shruti Haasan Opens Up About Mental Health, Says ‘I Have Been In Therapy When I Was Younger And Still…’

Check out what Shruti Haasan has to say about mental health

Shruti Haasan is one of the most popular and gorgeous divas of the South regional film industry. For the longest time, she has been winning hearts with her presence on the 70mm big-screen, and be it in South cinema or Hindi, the diva has certainly worked with some of the best in the business to grab eyeballs all over the country. One of her most anticipated releases is Salaar alongside everyone’s ‘Darling’, Prabhas and fans are super excited for the big project.

Given the Covid pandemic situation in the last year or so, it’s been quite difficult for people across different industries to survive and feel good about themselves. So, what does Shruti have to say about the concept of mental health? Today, we spill the beans.

She was quoted by Koimoi saying,

“Mental health is really simple and really complex at the same time. I always use this example that if you have a stomach ache, you will have ajwain or yogurt and avoid spicy stuff on the first day. On the second day you will say, ‘ok, let me take medicine’, but on the third day when you are still in pain, you will go to the doctor and seek help. At that point, no one in your family says, ‘hum hai, tum doctor ke paas kyun ja rahe ho’ (we are here, why would you need a doctor)?”
