There are reports everywhere of Shah Rukh Khan returning to the screen with director Siddharth Anand’s Pathan. While there has been no official announcement regarding this project from either director Anand or producer Yash Raj Films, another rumour regarding Salman Khan doing an extended cameo in Pathan has emerged.

A close friend of Salman’s say Salman’s participation in Pathan appears far-fetched.

“We don’t know where that came from. Salman has his own project named Sher Khan where he wants to play a Pathan. It seems unlikely that he would compromise and dilute his own dream by being part of Shah Rukh’s Pathan project,” says the source.

Salman’s brother Sohail has had his (Bhai-send) opportunities like Auzaar, Hello Brother and Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Sohail has been planning a fourth directorial with Salman for two years now. The mammoth project entitled Sher Khan is said to be Tarzan-inspired jungle adventure featuring Salman in a never-before action avatar with plenty of animals for company.

A close friend of Salman spills the beans. “It’s really very simple. Bhai is not completely happy with the script. Sohail has gone back to the storyboard at least three times. But Bhai is still not satisfied. Salman wants Sher Khan to be a game changer in the action genre.”
