The past few weeks have been quite difficult for Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. For a fairly long time, speculations were rife about them having a separation and soon, both of them confirmed the same in a joint statement on social media.
However, ever since the two announced the same, there have been many false and malicious stories about Samantha doing rounds about her having an affair or getting an abortion done that led to the separation. Yesterday, we saw Samantha shut down all fake stories with a statement and now, Shakunthaalam producer Neelima Guna has opened up on the same. During a conversation with Hyderabad Times, she was quoted as saying,
“When my father, director Gunasekhar garu approached Samantha last year for Shaakunthalam, she loved the story and was excited. But, she told us shooting must be wrapped up by July or August as she was planning to start a family with Naga Chaitanya.”
She further added,
“She wanted to be a mother; she told us that was her priority. Period films take time and she was really apprehensive to say yes. But we assured that due to extensive pre-production, we had cut down on a lot of time. She was happy and on-board as soon as she heard this.”
