As known, Son of Sardaar 2, led by Ajay Devgn, has faced scrutiny for several reasons. One notable development was the replacement of Vijay Raaz, who had initially been cast in a key role, with actor Sanjay Mishra. Now in a recent interview, Mishra shared his experience of stepping into Raaz’s role.

Speaking to India Today, Sanjay Mishra confirmed that he had completed shooting for his part in the film. He explained that such changes are common in the industry and revealed that he accepted the role after receiving a call from Ajay Devgn, who personally asked him to join the project. Mishra emphasized that his friendship with Devgn played a significant role in his decision, though he acknowledged that replacing Vijay Raaz was not an easy task.

Mishra also praised Raaz’s talent, referring to him as a phenomenal actor. He admitted feeling pressure to deliver his best performance, knowing he had replaced someone of Raaz’s caliber. However, he noted that their friendship remains strong, and he is a fan of Raaz’s work. This, he said, motivated him to meet the expectations of both the audience and Devgn, who trusted him with the role.

Son of Sardaar 2 has been in the works for a couple of months now and is expected to wrap shooting by the end of November. The film is said to be shot on a huge scale and might aim for a 2025 release.
