Mumbai’s prestigious MAMI Film Festival witnessed a glamorous gathering of Bollywood’s esteemed Pataudi family, accompanied by renowned Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta, at the premiere of Sharmila Tagore’s highly anticipated film, ‘Puratan.’ This Bengali drama, directed by Suman Ghosh, marks Sharmila’s return to the silver screen after a 15-year hiatus.

Rituparna Sengupta, resplendent in a striking red saree, was spotted alongside Sharmila Tagore, Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan, and Saba Ali Khan. Her husband, Sanjay, and actor Indranil Sengupta, who also stars in ‘Puratan,’ were present at the event.

The Pataudi family made a stylish appearance, with Sharmila opting for an elegant black and white saree. Saif Ali Khan complemented his mother’s outfit with a matching black kurta and pajama, while Soha Ali Khan chose a vibrant green co-ord set. Saba Ali Khan wore a sophisticated suit, and Kunal Khemu, Soha’s husband, sported a casual gray sweatshirt and denim.

In ‘Puratan,’ Sharmila Tagore plays an elderly woman celebrating her 80th birthday, with Rituparna Sengupta portraying her daughter and Indranil Sengupta as her son-in-law. Director Suman Ghosh admired Sharmila’s dedication to her craft, stating, “Her constant striving for perfect acting, even at this stage in her career, left me impressed.”
