The trailer of Singham Again was launched a few days ago, and while it has managed to get those millions of views and everyone talking about it, there has been a section of people who have also questioned several choices taken by the director of the film, Rohit Shetty and the entire team.
It seldom happens when the trailer of a film crosses a runtime of more than four minutes – especially when you have some of the biggest stars in Hindi cinema coming together in one film. But doing the unthinkable, Shetty and his team provided a trailer that clocked almost five minutes of runtime and even revealed, what would have been the biggest moments of the film.
Be it showing all the mega stars in a film and their entries, which is usually kept wrapped for the actual viewing or be it the main plot of the film, which in this case is a modern take of the story of Ramayana – everything was out there in the trailer for people to see and enjoy.
Many liked this choice but even a huge section of fans and viewers went on to feel replaced and there was a general consensus as to why was so much shown in the trailer, which is just supposed to raise the excitement of the film.
Fans flooded the comments section and it was a mixed bag of everything with a few saying things like “I think I have already watched the entire film in 4 mins. That’s enough for my eyes,” to “First time ever A movie is released directly on YouTube before theaters”, some even said things like “Thank you for showing complete movie within 5 mins. Time, money, noise, air, electricity, everything saved” to “Kudos to editor, such talent to show the entire film in such short span of time”-
The move to show that much and even whistleworthy moments like all the cops in the form of big stars in one frame has led to multiple debates and wondering.
Singham Again is the third installment of the celebrated Singham franchise and has the Rohit Shetty cop universe coming together with new entrants.
Apart from Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan reprising their roles from Singham Returns, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar return as Simmba and Sooryavanshi respectively while new entrants, Tiger Shroff and Deepika Padukone join the world.
The antagonist is played by Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff also reprises his role from Sooryavanshi. The film is set to clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 pm 1st November, 2024 making for a big Diwali clash.
