Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is one of the most qualified and respected filmmakers that we have in the country and despite being a controversial personality, he certainly knows how to find his way through to the hearts of the audience. This year, his movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ has managed to impress everyone and no wonder, it has collected humongous figures at the box office at a time when a majority of Hindi films are struggling to even cross the break-even point. A lot of critics have already labelled the movie as one of the best films ever made on Kashmir.

Recently, Anurag Kashyap made a statement about Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ saying he doesn’t want it to be India’s official selection for the Oscars.

Reacting to this, Vivek has lashed out against Anurag and has accused Bollywood of running a negative campaign against the movie. He was quoted as saying,

“”IMPORTANT: The vicious, GENOCIDE-DENIER lobby of Bollywood has started their campaign against #TheKashmirFiles for #Oscars, under the leadership of the maker of #Dobaaraa (sic).”
