Ram Kamal Mukherjee has truly been a pioneer and a trendsetter in the film industry in the true sense of the term. A journalist with more than 20 years of invaluable experience, Ram carried forward that experience and brought it to his table by adding more titles to his name. From writing a coffee table book on the veteran Hema Malini to writing books on fitness with inputs from the top fitness inspirations from the industry, he has done it all. He was already wearing the hat of an author and biographer, and soon, something else had to follow.
Soon, he decided to direct a short film that would set a trend in India and it did in the truest sense of the term. ‘Cakewalk’, starring Esha Deol, wasn’t just another movie women needed to look forward to. It became India’s first short film, after a movie of Satyajit Ray, to have a National television telecast. And now, after carrying forward the glory of his first, he is coming up with his second movie, ‘Season’s Greetings’.
The movie isn’t just special because it’s a tribute to none other than legendary filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh, but also because right from the unveiling of the poster to everything has been special about this movie. ‘Season’s Greetings’ became India’s first movie to collaborate with the United Nations and soon followed another achievement. The opening poster was launched by Amitabh Bachchan in an introductory video where Big B shared his inputs and feelings regarding Rituparno Ghosh. And soon, what followed was a spree of wishes for Ram ahead of his directorial venture. From Madhur Bhandarkar to Sonu Sood, Riteish Deshmukh, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Suri, Vivek Oberoi, Gurmeet Choudhary, Sonali Bendre Behl, Raveena Tandon and many more wished the director on this lovely venture. Check out the posts below –
Well, here’s wishing Ram all the very best for a wonderful venture and may God give Rituparno Ghosh the ideal tribute that he deserves in the true sense of the term. For more such updates, stay tuned to IWMBuzz.com.
