Yesterday, it was reported that Shilpa Shetty decided to take legal action against 29 media platforms and personnel for allegedly tarnishing the image of her and her family in the Raj Kundra pornography case. Today, the hearing took place in the Bombay High Court, and as per reports in ‘India Today’, Justice Gautam Patel upon hearing the matter was quoted as saying,
Reportage of something based on what police have said is not defamatory. You (Shetty) chose a public life. Your life is under a microscope. Firstly, articles saying she cried and fought with her husband when her statement was recorded, is not defamatory. It shows that she is a human.”
Meanwhile, reports suggest that some platforms took down videos that Shilpa Shetty alleged were defamatory in nature.
