Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Super 30’ has been at the receiving end of all the praises since its release. The movie is based on the life of the Mathematician Anand Kumar, who prepares underprivileged children for the IIT-JEE exam. The teacher visited the campus of IIT Bombay to enlighten the students on his journey. Anand interacted with and inspired the freshers in the interactive session on their first day of college. As the students are starting their journey in IIT, Anand Kumar spoke about positive thinking and his experience in teaching the students. What’s interesting is that the students were all excited and inspired in the interactive session with Anand Kumar.

Talking about the first time he came to Bombay, Anand Kumar says, “In 1994, when I had to go to Cambridge University, you must be knowing this entity named National Board for Higher Mathematics, which is a part of Government of India (HRD) that encourages Mathematics talent and research. At that time, its centre was IIT Bombay. It was the first time in my life then, that I got a chance to come to Bombay. I felt privileged as I got down at Vikhroli station to come to IIT Bombay. I was the only Bihari student who got selected among the batch of 35 students for the one and a half month training for the programme”

Super 30 addresses and acknowledges the importance of teachers in the building and strengthening of society and the pivotal role they play at the base level in shaping an individual, which in turn leads to the shaping of a society.

The movie was released on 12 July, and is still running successfully.
