There are perfectly excellent celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that stick with you, the ones you attempt to replicate as closely as possible at home. Emma Watson, on the other hand, isn’t known for adhering to red carpet norms; thus, her press tour for “Beauty and the Beast” mostly avoided any princess stereotypes. Her one full-fledged Belle cosplay came in the form of a buttery yellow Dior Haute Couture slip dress. The majority of her best red carpet appearances have occurred as a result of her more daring decisions.
Watson wore an unspeakably cool black jumpsuit by Oscar de la Renta to the film’s Los Angeles premiere instead of a gasp-worthy ball gown. The one-piece, which was part of the brand’s Fall 2017 collection, had a stunning V-shaped neckline and gold rose on the belt as a homage to Belle. Watson donned a Misha Nonoo plunging white jumpsuit with red lipstick and side-swept curls. She wore a Dior jacket on the red carpet to keep warm. Harry Styles presented the 24-year-old with the British Style Award, praising her work with the He For She gender equality campaign.
According to E! News, the pairing sent the Twittersphere into a tailspin, with people tweeting that the two famous Brits should be a couple. The actress did, however, make a minor change to her runway outfit. Her gold ornament was moved from the center to the side of her jumpsuit, which nonetheless accentuated its elegance from every viewpoint. Lovers of the movie Beauty and the Beast will notice this subtle reference to the magical rose. Emma braided her hair to look like the flower from the movie during a previous screening.
