Tom Hiddleston was a relative unknown on American soil not long ago, but now he’s one of the most in-demand performers and, fortunately for us, one of the best-dressed men on the planet. He’s your Most Stylish Man, in fact. He’s the king of the roped-shoulder suit, to the point where Gucci hired him to be the face of their tailoring collection. If it isn’t a statement of confidence in his style, we don’t know what is. His attitude to getting ready and looking very well put together wherever he goes is proof that a little effort goes a long way in getting dressed.
For the premiere of Kong: Skull Island, Hiddleston wore a similar all-over dot pattern suit, but this time he teamed it with the nicest blue dress shirt and a critter-patterned tie. Your underpinning game may vary from hyper-professional to off-duty, and you’ll still be the best-dressed guy in any room when your suit fits as beautifully as Hiddleston’s and ALL of his suits do. Wearing a three-piece suit requires a man who understands what he’s doing. Knowing how to wear a pinstripe version of that suit needs a master of the sartorial arts.
Hiddleston’s beefed-up windowpane pattern suit has a lot of graphic punch, so he balances it off with a deep blue dress shirt. A deep crimson DB suit might be too much for a less sartorially oriented gentleman. On Hiddleston, the same tailoring maneuver appears to be second nature.
