Panipat is an upcoming historical war movie which is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. This movie is based on the third battle of Panipat and it features Arjun Kapoor as the Marathas’ Commander-in-chief Sadashivrao Bhau, Sanjay Dutt as the Afghani leader Ahmed Shah Abdali and Kriti Sanon as the wife of Sadashivrao Bhau, Parvati Bai. The movie is coming in the theatres on the 6th of December, 2019.
Three major battles were fought near the city in the year 1526, 1556 and 1761. Panipat is a historic city in Haryana, India. The city is famous by the name of the city of weavers and textile city. The city is the center of recycling textile and so it is named as the textile city.
In the 18th century, Marathas turned up as the most powerful empire in the whole of India. Afghan king Ahmed Shah Abdali plans to take over India but the Maratha Peshwa orders Sadashiv Rao Bhau to stop the Afghan King anyhow and thus they land up having a battle between them and the third battle of Panipat is fought between the two armies.
