Johnny Depp, 58, has disclosed some unexpected details regarding his marriage to Amber Heard and how it affected his daughter Lily-Rose Depp. In Fairfax, Virginia, on Wednesday, the actor testified in his defamation case against his now-ex-wife, purportedly revealing that she and the 22-year-old actress and model, whom he shares with former Vanessa Paradis, did not get along.

“Lily-Rose was absent from the wedding.” According to PEOPLE, he stated during his testimony that “she and Ms. Heard was not on especially good terms for numerous reasons.” According to accounts from their wedding ceremony in February 2015 on Johnny’s private island in the Bahamas, he allegedly told the court that she and several of her friends consumed drugs, including a “shared bag of MDMA.” Johnny, who has a 20-year-old son named Jack, is reported to have proceeded by adding that he and Amber did not have a prenuptial agreement and those following discussions about acquiring one resulted in them disagreeing.

He is also believed to have stated that he stayed in his tumultuous marriage with Amber until 2017 because his “father stayed in his abusive marriage.” Johnny’s comment, on the other hand, comes after his 2019 lawsuit against Amber for an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018. She spoke about surviving domestic abuse in it, and while she didn’t specifically identify Johnny, he believes it was implied, and his successful acting career has suffered as a result. He is seeking USD 50 million in damages in the lawsuit.
