Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sikandar has revealed a direct connection to Aamir Khan’s iconic 2008 thriller Ghajini. After the long wait, fans of Salman Khan’s Sikandar witnessed the grand trailer launch of the film amidst the entire cast and crew including Salman Khan himself, Rashmika Mandanna, director A R Murugadoss and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. But an interesting revelation has been doing the rounds ever since the trailer has been unveiled.

During the highly anticipated trailer unveiling of Sikandar, which took place yesterday amidst a massive fan celebration, it was revealed that Salman Khan’s character in the film is named Sanjay. This revelation comes as a nod to Aamir Khan’s character in Ghajini, who also went by the same name. The trailer features a delightful moment between Salman and co-star Rashmika Mandanna, where Rashmika’s character says, “Log tumhe alag alag naam se bulate hain, koi Raja Sahab, koi Sanjay Sahab aur koi Sikandar Sahab, but I like Sanjay haan.” This line not only confirms Salman’s character’s name but also provides a subtle homage to the name’s connection with Aamir Khan’s memorable role in Ghajini, a 2008 blockbuster which was also directed by Murugadoss.

Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is being touted as one of the biggest action entertainers of 2025. The trailer, filled with high-octane action sequences and gripping visuals, has already created a buzz among fans and movie enthusiasts.
