Excel Entertainment’s much anticipated film Ground Zero will have its grand premiere in Srinagar, Kashmir today. This is truly a historic moment for the film fraternity as nearly after four decades Bollywood steps in Kashmir and Ground Zero’s special screening for the jawans marks the beginning.
To mark their presence on the grand occasion, the makers of the film, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment were seen jetting off to Srinagar with their wives Shibani Dandekar and Dolly Sidhwani.
Ground Zero, which stars Emraan Hashmi and Sai Tamhankar in lead roles, is already creating a buzz for its gripping storyline and picturesque backdrops. Emraan Hashmi and the film’s director, Tejas Deoskar, had already arrived in Kashmir earlier this morning and took to social media to share stunning visuals from the valley, expressing their excitement and gratitude ahead of the premiere.
In Ground Zero, Emraan Hashmi essays the role of Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led a two year long investigation. Based on the BSF’s most daring operation in the last 50 years, the film brings to life a true story of service, sacrifice, and strength, set against the backdrop of Kashmir.
Excel Entertainment presents an Excel Entertainment Production, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy. Ground Zero storms into cinemas on April 25, 2025.
