Widely regarded as the queen of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone is a diva who carries a distinct persona. Whether on-screen or off, she never fails to mesmerize audiences with her charm and elegance. Over the years, we have witnessed her incredible growth and transformation into a woman admired by the world.
While Deepika has been an inspiration to many women in various ways, it was the women on screen who inspired her to step into the world of entertainment.
Recently, Deepika attended the Forbes 3050 Summit in Abu Dhabi, where she captivated everyone with her stunning presence. While she turned heads with her breathtaking appearance, she also spoke about how the women on screen inspired her journey into cinema—an inspiring revelation to celebrate this Women’s Day!
When the host the American Broadcaster, Mika Brzezinski asked Deepika, “What inspired you to get into acting? How did the journey began?” Deepika replied to this saying, “You know, Mika, I think for me just as a young girl growing up, I grew up in a family full of sportsmen and athletes, and we didn’t watch very many movies but few movies that we watched in a year, everytime we went into the cinema, I’d look at these amazing women and be inspired by them and sort of knew somewhere deep down inside as a child that, that is something I would be doing one day. I don’t know how, I have no idea how I was going to go about it, but, I felt like that’s where I belonged. And, so I started my career as a model first, that was my real passion and then I got discovered by Farah Khan, one of the few Indian directors, female directors and Ya, I debuted in 2017. And there’s been no looking back since.”
