The second edition of the popular French Film Festival Kolkata began on Saturday, attracting several top filmmakers and industry veterans. Acclaimed director Anubhav Sinha, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, National Award-winning director Goutam Ghose, and actor Anasuya Sengupta were among the esteemed guests at Nandan on the opening day. Anubhav Sinha opened the festival, highlighting its prestige and significance. He also expressed his deep admiration for Kolkata, its rich cinematic culture, and the influence of its films.
The director shared his thoughts, saying, “I love Kolkata, and also the films and food they make here. The city is fortunate to have so many film festivals.”
