Legendary actor Dharmendra has ruled over Bollywood for decades but these days, the 85 year old actor has made farming his new passion. After showcasing some glimpses of his extensive 100 acre Lonavla farmhouse through Instagram, the heartthrob of the cinema industry is now passing down his knowledge of organic farming to his neighbour Salim Diwan.
Actor Salim Diwan, known for his debut film ‘Bollywood Diaries’ and his upcoming film ‘Aliya Basu Gayab hai’ is neighbours with Dharmendra, how lucky we must say!. The actor had been wanting to utilize his farmhouse area for a very long time and couldn’t possibly use it to its best potential until one day, when he met Dharmendra. After his interaction with the ‘Sholey’ actor Salim said, “Dharmendraji has always been my inspiration when it comes to acting but now he has given me another reason to be inspired for. He has been learning organic farming for years now and when I happened to meet him, he told me to utilize my space for farming. He gave me detailed insights on the efforts that go into building an organic farm and how fruitful their results will be. I must say, he has given me the best advice.”
Salim Diwan’s Lonavla Farmhouse is now in full spring. The actor has also been receiving support from Sandesh Gaikwad, cousin of Cabinet Minister Varsha Gaikwad.
