Abhishek Bachchan recently took it to his Instagram handle to celebrate the completion of 15 years of his film Guru where he featured along with lady love Aishwarya Rai. However, it’s obvious for us to know that the film sparked the love story between the two, but did you know that Junior Bachchan proposed Aishwarya with a ring from the sets?
While no one knows how the two fell in love with each other, reports in Bollywood Shaadis say that the spark happened between the two on the sets of Bunty Aur Babli in 2005 while they were shooting for Kajra Re. And then in the time between 2006 to 2007, the two got the most times to spend together, as they were shooting 3 films altogether, Dhoon 2, Guru and Umrao Jaan.
It was in Toronto, during the premiere of Guru when Bachchan proposed Aishwarya Rai for marriage, and Aishwarya Rai immediately accepted the proposal. Abhishek spoke of the same, saying, “I was filming in New York for a movie. And, I used to stand on the balcony of my hotel room and wish that, ‘One day, wouldn’t it be nice if I was together with her, married.’ Years later, we were there for the premiere of Guru. After the premiere, we were back in the hotel. So, I took her to the very same balcony, and I asked her to marry me.” as stated in Bollywood Life.
