According To Huma Qureshi, “Body Shaming Is Ingrained In Us”

Here is what Huma Qureshi, who has repeatedly spoken out against body shaming, had to say in a recent interview

Currently, Huma Qureshi is preparing to launch Maharani 2, her second web series. The actress will appear in Double XL shortly after its publication, in which she also serves as producer. Huma decided on the topic of “body shaming” for the movie. The actress went into great detail about it in a recent interview. She also disclosed the money she earned for the movie. The actress continued by saying that we are strongly ingrained with the problem of body shaming.

When discussing the challenge that women deal with on a daily basis, Huma added, “We are so ingrained with the issue. We make disparaging remarks while staring at women’s bodies. Someone’s self-confidence is damaged by body shame. We start a respectful conversation when we make a movie about it and use our platform as actors too. We intended to develop an engaging movie that would change people’s perspectives, not a documentary.”

The actress also discussed gaining weight for the movie, “I put on weight to make this movie. I have extended myself from one to the other in terms of my physical, mental, and religious well-being. You’re going to have a tremendous surprise, I can tell you that much.” she said.

Huma Qureshi’s next acting role will be in Maharani 2 alongside Amit Sial and Sohum Shah. In addition to Double XL alongside Sonakshi Sinha, the actress has Tarla, Monica, and O My Darling. In Tarla, the actress will play the part of Tarla Dalal.
