Anushka Shetty, the popular Tollywood actress has recently opened up about the casting couch. The actress gained popularity with her stellar work folio in the South industry followed by her pan-Indian work in Baahubali. The actress went all praise for the South Industry and she said she never had to face it in the industry, because she was very straightforward.
She said, “I admit that it exists in the Telugu film industry but I never had to face it because I was straightforward, I was never exploited (sic),”
The actress further added, “I have always been straightforward and frank. The actress should decide whether they want the easy ways and less fame or harder ways and sustain for a long time in the entertainment industry,”
Earlier talking to Deccan Chronicle about the casting couch controversy, the actress said, “Not only in movies, but in every industry,” she explained. “I can’t comment on everyone’s virtues or traits. There will be a few bad apples. However, I have spent the last eight years working in the Tamil and Telugu industries.
