Ayushmann Khurrana Is a Donor Of Good Motive Movies In Times Of Content Less Scripts

Ayushmann Khurrana, a Bollywood actor who plays a transgender lady who falls in love with him in the film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, said he never selected any scripts with the intention of the film's box office success in mind.

“Since my screen debut in “Vicky Donor,” I’ve only opted for films that are considered unusual or controversial from a cultural standpoint. Such movies, in my opinion, are essential for India to produce. I’ve felt the desire to start a conversation about pressing topics that demand attention. In my career, ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ is one such movie, and I’m incredibly proud of it,” adds the actor, who is also known for playing characters with erectile dysfunction in ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhaan,’ sperm donor in ‘Vicky Donor,’ and a bald guy in ‘Bala’.

Ayushmann Khurrana adds his experience working with “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” director Abhishek Kapoor. “I’m fortunate to have found a creative collaborator in Abhishek Kapoor, who shared my conviction that transgender issues in India needed to be highlighted. This was our attempt to make the conversation current and popular, and I’m hoping that the movie will succeed in doing so in the near future.”

Ayushmann Khurrana continues by saying that he never hesitates to take a risk while selecting a script and just concentrates on the plot. “I never decided to make a movie with box office success in mind. I wasn’t made that way, and I don’t believe anyone expects me to be safe. Therefore, “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” is one of my riskiest projects to date, and regardless of how the movie turns out, I will continue to take risks since it’s in my nature to do so.”

Ayushmann continues by saying that he would always want to use his films to start a national conversation rather than just focus on how well they will perform financially.

“If I can start a conversation about bettering society, I will do that in a heartbeat without thinking about the implications,” says Ayushmann Khurrana. “I’ve always chosen movies by following my emotions, and I’ll continue to do so. As an entertainer, I’ll make an effort to interest viewers with my brand of film. I don’t anticipate altering my course for anything.”
