Know the unexpected job of Kate Winslet before she was popular

Kate Winslet has proven that she can take on any role. According to The New York Times, Winslet’s flexibility as an actor is evident, having starred in blockbusters like “Titanic” and the philosophical “Revolutionary Road,” as well as dramas like “Mildred Pierce” and HBO’s “Mare of Easttown.” Kate Winslet worked an ordinary job like the rest of us before she became famous and began making millions of dollars. According to BerkshireLive, Winslet grew up in Reading, Berkshire, and worked at a delicatessen while pursuing her dream of becoming an actress.

She informed the source that after being cast in her debut film “Heavenly Creatures,” she continued to work at the deli as a side job in the hopes of securing acting roles. “It’s quite difficult to make a living as an actor, especially when you’re just starting out,” she remarked. Of course, as Winslet began landing major roles in famous films, everything changed.

Following her debut in 1994, Winslet’s next great hit was 1995’s “Sense and Sensibility,” which was followed by roles in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Finding Neverland” (per IMDb). Since her debut appearance on the big screen, she’s come a long way.
