Madhuri Dixit talking to The Quint spoke about how Indians used to take rounds at her house in the US. She said, ‘I got a call from one of my American neighbours that we are seeing that someone is going around your house and keeping an eye. Do you want to call the police?’

Later Madhuri told her neighbours that she is popular as an actress in Indian cinemas, which also left her neighbours shocked too. She also said that after returning to India, her kids too felt like celebrities which they never felt back in the US.

On the work front, Madhuri Dixit will be featured in the OTT series, The Fame Game on Netflix. Talking about it, she said, “It’s strange and yet it’s true because there are so many different avenues and when you are doing it for the first time, you are debuting. And it’s great that even after 35 years, I am debuting with something. It’s wonderful because I’m like a child, like a student of cinema. I love learning. For me, it’s a different language of making films, a different system.”

Revealing on what made her opt for the series, she said, “I liked the idea and the whole script in general and also liked the idea of someone so famous suddenly disappearing. There were great directors in Bejoy and Karishma Kohli. I felt it was a great fit, so I said yes,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.
