Nothing can really beat India’s wide range of cuisines. Whether you talk about its street food or other regional dishes, the country not only stands out with its culture, tradition but also its delicious cuisines. And with that, Rakul Preet Singh, the Yaariyan actress who is currently in Lucknow, the city known for its kebabs, was caught enjoying the city’s infamous basket chat.
The actress is currently in Lucknow shooting for Chatriwali. Talking about it she said, “I am very excited about 2022. Because of pandemic, fortunately-unfortunately, some projects got delayed so in the coming year many will see light of the day. There is so much variation in my choice of roles as every character is totally different from each other. Right now the only recall value audience have is of De De Pyaar De but so much work has been done post that so I await audience’s reaction.”
Talking to Hindustan Times, the actress also further spoke about her upcoming projects, “First six months will see four of my releases starting with Attack with John Abraham, Runaway 34 with Amitji (Bachchan) along with Ajay (Devgn) sir, Doctor G with Ayushmann (Khurrana) followed by Thank God. Meanwhile, in second half of the year Chhatriwali will release that we are shooting here after that Akshay (Kumar) sir’s film (Mission Cinderella) is in pipeline.”
And now that she is currently in Lucknow and is in love with the city’s delicacies, she was recently caught enjoying a plate of basket chat, popular in Lucknow. The actress shared the moment on her social media too.
Talking about the food, she said, “I have become a fan of Lakhnavi food. I have been on an eating spree — right from basket chaat, tikki, royal chaat, bun-maska, chaai, samosa to galawati kebabs. I’m not into dieting; I follow right eating and quantity control. I skip meals in a day so it’s like intermittent fasting and also the food I had previously is well digested.”
Sharing the picture with the plate of the delicious Lucknow special basket chat, she wrote, “Lucknow mei basket chaat nahi khaaya, toh kya khaaya! I believe we all need some treat meals once in a while and @munmun.ganeriwal agrees too. She says, just eat your chaat at the right time, between 1pm to 4pm. Not for dinner, guys! And not more than once a week!! I feel so content and and you can clearly see the excitement on my face ?? so when are you treating yourself ?”
And that’s not all, the actress also didn’t ditch her sweet tooth, and opted for a grand chocolate dessert along with her Yoga trainer Anshuka. Anshuka shared the picture on her social media and wrote, “The good kind of cheaters ? @rakulpreet”
