Kartik Aaryan is one of the most popular Bollywood actors. The actor has also faced his share of struggles when he came to Mumbai to fulfill his dreams of becoming an actor.
After completing his schooling in Gwalior, Kartik moved to Navi Mumbai to pursue his further studies as an engineer. Just like any other actor, Kartik came to the city of dreams with a huge baggage of aspirations. But it was his dedication and talent that made him different from other aspiring actors.
As per reports in Mens XP, Kartik pursued an engineering degree in biotechnology from Navi Mumbai’s D Y Patil College of Engineering, while secretly harbouring ambitions for a career in films. Kartik started taking modelling assignments while pursuing his education in Navi Mumbai. The actor unsuccessfully auditioned for various films during his university days, and meanwhile, he also did an acting course from the Kreating Charakters institute.
He was once quoted saying “I was born in the small town of Gwalior. My parents were in the medical field & I was going to do engineering. But in 9th grade, I saw Baazigar & I knew I wanted to be on the other side of the screen,” as he called the Shah Rukh Khan film his inspiration.
