Game of Thrones has in fact given rise to many relationships between the actors part of it. Be it Kit Harington’s Jon Snow marrying his on-screen love Rose Leslie aka Ygritte or Emilia Clark and Jason Momoa forming a strong friendship or even ‘Sansa’ Sophie Turner & ‘Arya’ Maisie Williams becoming BFFs.
Today we talk about the Stark sisters Sophie Turner Turner and Masie Williams who literally got so very close during the shoot that people around them assumed that they had a romantic fling. The two of them had a lot common between them, from similar likings to spending a lot of time together.
During a 2019 interview with Conan O’Brien, Sophie Turner revealed she and Maisie Williams were fully aware that people thought they were a couple. Saying that they decided to play into the speculation while filming Game of Thrones, the actress who played Sansa Stark said, “So on the set, [me and Williams] would do the scene and then we would kind of try and just kiss each other in the middle of the scene and then see if anyone would react.”
On being asked if she wanted people to believe she and Maisie Williams were a couple, Sophie Turner responded, “You know, sometimes you just want to make out with your best friend.”
