Considering the number of movies they have done in the various South film industries and the number of years they have spent in the South of India, they are more South Indian than a lot of us. Here we bring you list of these famous 7 South Indian actresses who are not South Indian.

Hansika Motwani: The diva was born to Sindhi parents and brought up in Mumbai. She started off as a child actor in the TV series Shakalaka Boom Boom and later was seen in the Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta–starrer Koi Mil Gaya. She made her lead debut in Telugu cinema in 2007. Now, she is a popular actress in Tamil and Telugu films as well.

Tamannaah Bhatia: The beauty is also born and brought up in Mumbai. Tamannaah who was born to Punjabi parents is a popular actress known for her work in Tamil and Telugu films. Tamannaah has some blockbuster movies to her credit like Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Padikathavan (2009), Ayan (2009), Veeram (2014).

Charmme Kaur: She is Punjabi by birth but was born and brought up in Hyderabad. She made her debut in 2002 and predominantly works in Telugu cinema. She turned producer as well and has worked in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films as well.

Reema Sen: She is one of the most popular South Indian actresses. In South films, she has predominantly worked in Tamil and Telugu films. Originally hailing from West Bengal, Reema made her debut opposite R Madhavan in Minnale Minnale, the Tamil and original version of Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.

Kajal Aggarwal: Born in Mumbai, she made her acting debut in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun, Ho Gaya Na!, in a minor supporting role as the friend of lead actress Aishwarya Rai. The Telugu film Chandamama became her first major successful film followed by the 2009 movie Magadheera opposite Ram Charan.

Bhumika Chawla: The actress was born in New Delhi and made her South film debut with Telugu film called Yuvakadu in 2000. Since then, there has been no looking back. She has predominantly worked in Telugu and Tamil films.

Ileana D’Cruz: The actress is originally from Bombay who started working as a model first. She eventually started working in films and established herself as a popular actress in the Telugu film industry.
