Emilia Clarke gained a household name in 2011 when she starred in Game of Thrones as Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of dragons. Khaleesi has become one of the most well-known characters in Game of Thrones. Dany reigned dominant in the Last War against Cersei Lannister in the last season, but her fate was destined for destruction thanks to her beloved and nephew, Jon Snow. While many fans were critical of Khaleesi’s short Mad Queen arc, Emilia’s performance was praised by all.
Emilia confessed her one regret from the last season of Game of Thrones in an interview with Variety magazine. “I didn’t take anything, which I regret and am irritated about. I’m really hoping for a dragon from the showrunners. I’m in desperate need of my stinky socks. I believe I took those,” Clarke exposed his identity. She also expressed her disbelief at the show’s conclusion, stating that a lot had happened in a decade for her. “I’ve matured into a lady. I was 23 years old at the time”. Emilia revealed, adding that it’s taken her a long time to accept the conclusion of Game of Thrones.
“What happened to my dragons? That well-known phrase. What happened to them? It was a very emotional experience”, said the actress. Emilia remarked about her Game of Thrones family that while the cast was originally calm and composed when the show ended, “it broke everyone.”
