Maya: The film was directed by Ashwin Saravanan in 2015. Nayanthara played a major role as Apsara Arjun as well as Maya Mathews. It was also an important film for Nayanthara in her career since it marked the actress’s 50th film.
Dora: It was a thriller-horror flick in which Nayanthara played the character of Pavalakkodi, who purchases a vintage car with her father, and then comes to know that the car is haunted by a spirit who wants revenge for an unknown incident. A number of paranormal activities begin to follow the life of Nayanthara’s character in the film.
Airaa: The actress essayed the role of Yamuna, a journalist who goes out to meet her grandmother in a remote village. It is during her travels that she gets possessed by a vengeful spirit. The movie was directed by Sarjun.
Kolaiyuthir Kaalam: The movie showed the life of an orphan girl who is adopted by wealthy parents. The film was directed by Chakri Toleti and it hit the theatres in August 2019.
