A Thursday, Yami Gautam’s new flick, is out now. The thriller is now available on Disney Plus Hotstar. Yami Gautam carries the movie on her shoulders from start to finish. Her pre-climax and climax performances were excellent. This was a difficult part for Yami, but she handled it admirably. The last half-hour of the video is compelling, and the cops’ handling of the situation is commendable. The performances of Dimple Kapadia, Neha Dhupia, and Atul Kulkarni are good. The film begins off on an intriguing note and quickly gets to the point.
However, things slow down after that, boring the audience. The way the prime minister’s point of view is inserted into the story is ridiculous. The story’s media angle is likewise overdone to a point. In the middle of the film, the emotions could have been much stronger. The film’s BGM is engrossing and lifts the majority of the moments. The editing and production design were both excellent. The majority of the film takes place in a house, and the camerawork is excellent.
When it comes to filmmaker Bhzad, he has taken a mundane subject and presented it in an acceptable manner. However, he misses the pleasure that the trailer promised. Overall, A Thursday is a good kidnapping drama with a good premise. The acting of Yami Gautam is excellent, and the closing half-hour is thrilling. The middle sections, on the other hand, are tedious and drag on for no apparent reason. If you enjoy thrillers, you should check out this flick.
